The lever is locked by pushing a button on the inside and can be unlocked from the outside by using a flat object to turn the button. Turning inside lever or closing the door will release the button. Inside lever is always free for immediate egress. This door lever meets ADA requirements and comes standard with a 2-3/4" backset latch.
